Conference Meeting Day 1 - Lunch Bento

So busy from 8am in the morning as Moi is the main coordinator and interpreter for this conference.

So hungry by lunchtime liao that Moi finished every single thing in the bento.
Not even a grain of rice left.
Moi shocked her bosses and colleagues...
さて、お弁当の中身をご紹介させていただきます。
(上左から)
Fruits, Fried jumbo prawn, soft shell crab, kinpira, coleslaw, shioyaki fish, otsumami, rice

Barbeque @ Pasir Ris Park

We always have to start our BBQ after dark.

Because Toi's friends refused to pay to pre-book the pits.
So by the time fire's started, it's already past 8pm.
"Chestnuts roasting at the fireplace..."
Only this time it's not chestnuts but Corn on the Cob
The BBQ fare for the night

チャンギー空港の和食

最近和食ばかりの感じですね。
今日の昼食も和食です。

Toiの定番...Lor Mee

とっても美味かったよ!
Moi ordered Cod fish, saikyoyaki-style.

Toi ordered toi's long time favourite, teriyaki chicken.

自製Yakitori @ 自宅

Toi and Moi were feeling adventurous and decided to do our own yakitori at home with those traditional Chinese red charcoal cooker...so fun!

We BBQ quail eggs, mushrooms and chicken wings
We even bought the special yakitori sauce.
Ta-dah! Yakitori-styled chicken wings

Ikea Lunch (Part II)

It has been a long time since Moi and Toi went back to Ikea for yummy food so we went back there last Saturday.

The special for the day was Chicken Chop with rice.

Moi thinks the chicken will taste better without the sauce which makes the chicken soggy...

After-gym dinner

This is Moi and Steps Prince's usual dinner after steps class every Thursday.

This time round, we went to Crystal Jade and ordered fried omelette (an absolutely cannot-do-without dish) and salad prawns.

Moi will be back with more After-Gym dinner reports!
Watch this space! :)

Il Lido - Sentosa Golf Club

Sentosa island on a breezy Monday afternoon...

Moi's boss gave the team a treat last Monday (to thank us for our support woh...)
Moi chose Il Lido cos she has heard so much about the pastas there!
We dined indoors but Moi took some pics of the al fresco dining,
Heard that the ambience is the best just at sunset, but once the sun sets, everything becomes dark...can't see anything liao.
カリカリcrispy garlic toast served in a pretty red dish. Yummy!
Moi's starter: Asparagus soup (quite sour, not very good for Moi's weak stomach)
Moi's colleagues' starter: Antipasto
Moi's main dish: Mushroom lasagne...fwahhhh yummy!
Moi's colleagues' main course: Steak (she said it's good!)
Moi's bosses' main dish: Prawns with fillet fish (they say very sweet)
Our dessert: Lime sorbet...Refreshing!
The weather was so good and it was too bad we couldn't spend the whole afternoon lazing in the club.

Food court @ Central SOHO

On another trip back to Central SOHO for more donuts, Toi and Moi had Japanese curry at the food court.

It was so nice :) good and cheap.

Siglap delights

Toi and Moi had dinner at Siglap one evening.
Sick of Cafe Cartel and HK cafe (not nice one...) we settled for tze char and Laska!

Karaoke Buffet

Moi and WL went K-Box for singing and food.
OK LAH...we didn't expect the food to be super yummy in the first place so we were not very disappointed because we know what to expect...
Food fare: Fried rice, siew mai, sweet and sour chicken, green vegetables, char siew pau, steamed chicken dumplings, assorted sushi, assorted karaage, desserts etc.

Lunch Meeting - Tonkichi Rosu Katsu Bento

Lunch was eaten in a rush during lunch meetings...Moi had to take minutes too and largi no time to eat and enjoy my yummy lunch.
会場:

My goodness, Moi's bosses all eat at Lightning Speed!

Kushigin Dinner

Haiz...what can Moi say.
Steps Prince has been dying to try out this Yakitori restaurant since last year...
So we finally tried it out on Thursday.
Total disappointment man.

It's more expensive than Nambantei, most of the food is tasteless...the gyoza is really bland and tasteless we are not kidding!
Potato wrapped with pork: The potato's hard. Nambantei one melts in your mouth instantly.

Tsukune and chicken with leek: Nothing fantastic

Tempura Japanese fishcakes: Quite alright

Gyoza: Totally tasteless if not for the dipping sauce.

Tempura onigiri: Normal...nothing memorable

Dashi-maki tamago: OK la

Steps Prince gave them 3.8/10...FAILED!

Central @ Soho

Checked out this new shopping center next to Clarke Quay MRT one rainy Wednesday evening.
Shops there are quite unique.
There's this accessory shop selling accessories and jewellery direct from Japan. Nice.

You can find a couple of Japanese bakery in the basement too.
The donuts are so yummy!! Who needs to queue for hours at The D**** Factory! :P

Another yummy bakery selling yummy confectionery.
